Questions people ask
How much vacation pay do I get in Ontario?+
At least 4% of the wages you earned in the vacation year if you've worked there under 5 years, and 6% from 5 years. You also get at least 2 weeks of vacation (3 weeks from 5 years).
What about federally regulated jobs?+
Under the Canada Labour Code: 2 weeks and 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks and 6% after 5 years, and 4 weeks and 8% after 10 years.
Do I get vacation pay when I quit?+
Yes. Any vacation pay you've earned and not received must be paid out when your job ends, whatever the reason.
