How it works
The government adds 20% on the first $2,500 you contribute each year ($500), up to $7,200 per child. Unused room carries forward, so you can catch up by up to $1,000 of grant a year. Lower and middle-income families get extra CESG, and the Canada Learning Bond needs no contribution at all.
