Tax is worked out on the price plus fees. At a dealer, most provinces tax only the price minus your trade-in. BC charges a higher PST on vehicles over $55,000, and private used-car sales are taxed differently in several provinces: change the rate if needed. Bi-weekly payments cost about the same as monthly ones.
